Shavuot

On Shavuot we imagine ourselves at Mount Sinai and rejoice in the gift of the Torah. Sunday and Monday mornings will include opportunities for everyone from our youngest to our oldest learners to sit with each other and study and to celebrate the gift of Torah.

6:30 p.m.  Minhah/Ma'ariv

7:15-8:45 p.m.  Shavuot Tikkun learning program followed by dairy desserts.
The theme for this year's Tikkun will be: "We Were All at Sinai" Texts of Otherness and Inclusion

7:15-7:40 p.m. Rabbi Wechsler will introduce the evening’s learning with Merle Feld’s Poem, “We All Stood Together”

7:45-8:45 p.m. Table learning with:

• Rabbi Gruenberg - Maimonides on Public Protest (Mishneh Torah, Laws of Fasts 1:1-3)
• Rabbi Blustin - Transgender Individuals and the Concept of Human Dignity
• Neil Rubin - Ve Ahavta (Devarim 6:5-9)
