Our Daily Bread
Our Daily Bread (ODB) provides hot, nutritious meals for anyone in need every day of the year. It serves as a gateway to a wealth of other services at the Employment Center, including legal services, health care, employment opportunities and government benefits.
GH committee members serve breakfast at ODB on the third Sunday of every-other month. The upcoming dates are:
- April 14, 2024*
- June 16, 2024
Additionally, GH committee members cook casseroles for delivery to ODB every other month. Casseroles can be dropped off at Chizuk Amuno between 12-1 p.m. The upcoming dates are:
- March 21, 2024
- May 16, 2024

Food Drives
Throughout the year, the GH committee collects non-perishable food items for various local organizations. Over the years, we have donated hundreds of bags of food to the Maryland Food Bank, Paul's Place, GEDCO, Student Support Network @ Owings Mills High School, and more.

Cooking for Our First Responders
The COVID-19 pandemic raised awareness of the risks first responders take and the danger to which they are exposed on our behalf. Beginning in March 2021- in gratitude, and to help ease their way - our committee has provided a monthly meal to the staff and firefighters at Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company.
Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company provides 24/7 fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to Pikesville and surrounding communities.
