Hesed at Chizuk Amuno
The Hebrew word Hesed means kindness and encompasses the concept off giving compassion to another.
The Hesed Committee is here for you, our Chizuk Amuno family, when:
- you feel isolated
- you have lost a loved one
- you or a family member are convalescing or facing a serious illness
- you have a new baby
Please reach out if we can help. Contact Rabbi Debi Wecshler, or call 410-486-6400
We are always in need of volunteers to help us with:
- Greeting Cards - Hesed volunteers create hand made cards and/or write short notes to our members.
- Meal preparation - Hesed volunteers prepare and deliver a hot meal to congregants who are convalescing or facing a serious illness.
- Torah Fund cards - Hesed volunteers send cards to members who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
- Shabbat meals - Hesed volunteers deliver a meal to families who have just had a baby (purchased by Chizuk Amuno from Accents). We include a baby blanket hand-made by our Knitting Havurah.
Fill out the form below if you would like to receive Hesed or to volunteer.
