The Torah of Wicked - Sisterhood Closing Lunch and Meeting
Sunday, June 8, 2025 • 12 Sivan 5785
12:00 PM - 2:00 PMChizuk AmunoJoin us with guest speaker Dr. Andrea Lieber, for a thoughtful exploration of the powerful themes in the hit musical Wicked. The story challenges our assumptions about good and evil, truth and perception, and what it means to do what's right in a complicated world.
Through the lens of the Torah, we'll uncover timeless lessons about judgment, compassion, identity, and justice. From the misunderstood figure of Elphaba to the moral struggles of biblical characters like Joseph, Moses, and even Korach, we’ll explore how appearances can be deceiving—and how courage and empathy can reveal a deeper truth.
Come ready to question, reflect, and see both Wicked and the Torah in a whole new light.
This event will include a meal and the installation of new Sisterhood officers. Please register below by June 5.
We will also have a raffle!
