Gilead House at St. Mark's on the Hill provides transitional housing to people seeking asylum, and currently houses one of the Afghan families assisted by Chizuk Amuno volunteers. The house is supported by a partnership of several community organizations including Chizuk Amuno.

The house's large porch needs to be painted, and they have reached out to us in search of volunteers. They are looking for 4 - 6 volunteers, no experience needed. The dates are tentatively scheduled as listed above; not all volunteers are expected to come every week.

They are also looking for some materials for loan or donation:

• drop cloths
• brushes
• rollers
• pans
• scraper blades
• four 8x4 lattice trim 
• 32 ft of 1x3 lumber
• tongue and groove planks
• one 1x10 trim
• screws
