Our Programs

For children eighteen months through five years of age, our preschool program uses active learning to promote cognitive, social, emotional, physical, creative and Jewish development. Our children are given the opportunity to observe, explore, create, and experience through our child-centered curriculum and nurturing environment.

Because children learn by interacting within their environment, our classrooms are designed to challenge them at each developmental stage, balancing academic structure with creative social interaction. The beauty of Judaism and its traditions surrounds our children.

Our developmentally appropriate curriculum includes Hebrew language, music, Jewish education, language development, dramatics, story time, Shabbat and holiday celebrations, physical education, science, cooking, and creative arts. The Earth Art program created by specialist Judy Mont at Goldsmith Early Childhood Center is dedicated to acquainting children with nature’s wonders through artistic expression. The aim is to channel children’s creative energy by immersing them in nature, fostering a sense of wonder, and increasing environmental awareness. In our community garden, children will participate in hands-on experiences, witnessing the beauty of growth as they nurture plants, developing a preference for healthier eating habits while simultaneously exploring various artistic mediums and techniques designed to enrich their unique creativity while emphasizing the lesson. During the winter months, we engage in discussions and creative projects about the Creation of our beautiful Earth, incorporating Jewish wisdom and traditions.

Preschool Programs

We offer two semesters of preschool programs, September – December and January – June.

Kiddie Klass - (ages 18–24 months, with a parent)

Currently not enrolling for the 2023-2024 school year.

Our Kiddie Klass is an adult accompanied program that allows you to enjoy the first preschool experience with your toddler. Share a special time as you and your little one participate in music, art, rhythm, and movement. We will explore child development in an informal setting and discover the world of Jewish songs, customs, holidays, and traditions.

Days and Times:

You can choose the Tuesday class or the Thursday class. Classes meet once per week from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

2s, 3s, and 4s

Children ages 2 through 4 are learning to separate home and school, follow a routine, interact with others and explore letters and numbers. When we play with blocks, we count and talk about colors, shapes, and numbers. When we read, we talk about letter sounds and words. We naturally integrate learning into play. Chores around the classroom give each child a sense of mastery and responsibility.

Days and Times:

  • Twos have the option of participating 3 or 5 days per week from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. or 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Threes can participate 3 or 5 days per week from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. or 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Fours meet 5 days per week, either from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. or 9 a.m. – 3 p.m, with the exception of Hebrew Immersion, which is a full day.
