About

Our Mission

Goldsmith Early Childhood Center provides stimulating, nurturing, creative experiences within a Jewish environment. Visitors to our school experience a sense of joy in learning in each classroom. Our school supports and encourages the growth and development of the whole child: socially, emotionally, academically, physically, and spiritually. We welcome our families to share and celebrate their child’s developmental journey within the Chizuk Amuno family.

Nurturing Jewish Identity – The One and Only Hebrew Immersion Program in Baltimore!

The youngest members of our community learn about the amazing geography of Israel. They sing Hebrew songs. They taste traditional Jewish foods, dance to Israeli music, and learn the stories of their Jewish heritage. Tradition comes alive through literature, the arts, and Hebrew. Active parent involvement and education programs for families build the foundation for commitment to a life of Jewish learning.

Developing Spirituality

Educating the whole child includes developing spirituality in our youngest students. So the faculty provides opportunities to share a sense of wonder in the world through a variety of experiences, from reciting blessings over foods to going on a nature walk to conducting a science experiment.

Creating Community

Acts of loving kindness are a cornerstone of our program. With a sense of joy, young children learn to share and respect one another and the greater community. Children participate in programs including collecting and distributing tzedakah throughout our community and developing relationships with veteran members of our community. Our philosophy of education starts from the premise that your child is a competent learner. We provide the structure that equips them to succeed in any learning environment, from progressive to traditional. Approximately 40% of our students continue their education at the synagogue’s  Krieger Schechter Day School and the balance continues in our after-school and Sundays Rosenbloom Religious School.

When you visit The Goldsmith Early Childhood Center, you’ll see that each classroom takes on the teacher’s personality. Hallways are decorated with the discoveries and creations happening inside our classrooms.
