Walk, Run or Bike Across Israel this Summer with Chizuk Amuno

Many of us were looking forward to spending time in Israel this Spring and Summer, exploring the length and the breadth of the land. Many of us are also getting outside to walk, run or bike to stay healthy during our current situation.

We would like to invite you to join the Chizuk Amuno family on a virtual journey across the land of Israel. From the Mediterranean Sea in the West to the Dead Sea in the East, Israel is 85 miles across. From Metulla in the North to Eilat in the South, Israel is 290 miles long. Between now and Labor Day choose a goal for yourself or your team to walk, run, or bike 85 miles or 290 miles.

Participate on your own or create a team with family or friends. Teams are encouraged to pick out cool Israeli names for themselves like Team Sababa, Team Schwarma, or Team Ashkelon.

Keep track of your miles (you can even do this on your cell phone, we’ll teach you how) and enter them on our form for some friendly competition.  Keep track on this form here.

Take photos of yourself walking, running, or biking across “Israel” and send them to us to share with our community each week so we can watch our collective progress across the country.

Prizes will be given (think Bamba, Pesek Zman, and Bazooka) for highest mileage, best team name, most consistent participants, funniest photo, and any other category we think of.

While we will walk, run or bike in a way that supports safe social engagement, we also hope to have some special in person outdoor meetup.
