Jonny Lewis
As a lifelong member of Chizuk Amuno, Jonny attended our Hebrew School, had his Bar Mitzvah and was married on our bimah, and sang in the synagogue choir for 42 years. He recently served on committees for the playground build and the Rabbi search, co-chaired the membership committee and Rabbi Wechsler’s 20th Anniversary celebration.
In the community he has served on the board of the Jewish Community Center where he co-chaired the teen, membership, camp committees and technology task force, and chaired the Baltimore Jewish Film Festival. He has participated in several committees and task forces for The Associated, including the areas of camping and technology. As a board member of the Jewish Volunteer Connection he chaired the teen committee that managed leadership programs including the Diller Teen Fellows program.
Professionally he is currently a database programmer/consultant and formerly the owner/director of Camp Holiday Day Camp. He lives in Pikesville with his wife Hillary. Their sons Shawn and Kevin, now in graduate school, both attended the Goldsmith Early Childhood Education Center and the Kreiger Schechter Day School, and celebrated their Bar Mitzvahs at Chizuk Amuno Congregation.
