Chizuk Amuno Congregation

Rabbinic Transition

It is my great privilege to inform you that on February 26, 2018, the Board of Trustees of Chizuk Amuno Congregation voted unanimously to recommend Rabbi Joshua Z. Gruenberg for consideration by the Congregation as our next Senior Rabbi. (Read more about Rabbi Joshua Z. Gruenberg here) Per our By-Laws, we will hold a Special Meeting of the Congregation at Chizuk Amuno on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., to vote on the Board’s recommendation.

Our Congregation desires a new Senior Rabbi who will lead, engage, inspire, and become a vital part of our Chizuk Amuno community and the Baltimore Jewish community. We seek a rabbi who brings smiles into our hallways, who is genuinely concerned for the well-being of our families and our staff, and who will help us develop a vision for the future. We desire a rabbi who values education for youth and adults and who inspires creative programming for all.  We require someone who holds dear the values of Conservative Judaism as it is applicable to our lives today, and most certainly someone who we can proudly say, “This is MY Rabbi.”

We believe that Rabbi Joshua Gruenberg will be MY Rabbi”
