Read Along – My Promised Land
The email from Amazon saying “Your order has shipped,” just came today and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of Ari Shavit’s new book on Israel, My Promised Land. The reviews have been powerful and I am hopeful that it will inspire conversation and debate. Consider this an invitation to read along with me the next few weeks and then use the book as a basis for discussion at shul. My hope is to use it in a sermon, classes, and here in the blog. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all of Chizuk Amuno had the same book on night tables all over Pikesville and beyond?! Let me know if you will be reading along.
P.S. Also in that shipment will be Rabbi Shai Held’s book on Heschel. He is an amazing teacher, and we can tackle that one next semester.
