Daily Minyan Weekday services are held in the Hoffberger Chapel at 7:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. and Sundays at 9:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. On Rosh Hodesh, Hol Hamoed, Purim and Hanukkah, weekday morning services are held at 7 a.m. and on national holidays when the building is closed (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) at 9:15 a.m.
On Friday afternoons, Minhah begins in the Hoffberger Chapel at 5:50 p.m. Shabbat afternoon Minhah, Ma’ariv, and Havdallah are held each week approximately one hour before sunset. You will find a complete listing of all service times in the current Kol Amuno.

Shabbat Evening Services Kabbalat Shabbat Services are held each Friday evening at 6 p.m. We welcome Shabbat in friendship and with song and traditional davenen as we come together into the Hoffberger Chapel taking leave of the busy routine of our week.
Shabbat B’Yahad– Shabbat Together One Friday evening most months we celebrate Shabbat with a prayer service of song and spirit, welcoming families andblending the generations of our congregation. We begin with blessings, food to nosh, and a brief chance to socialize before sharing joyous prayer and reflective moments.
Classic Erev Shabbat Services On three Friday evenings throughout the year we conduct a Friday Night Worship Service featuring Hazzan Emanuel Perlman and our Chizuk Amuno Congregation choir. Our Hazzan and choir present the liturgy through choral melodies and formal recitation. This service includes a sermon by one of our rabbis and is followed by an Oneg Shabbat.
Shabbat Morning Services Shabbat morning is a very special time at Chizuk Amuno. Our Sanctuary and synagogue facility come alive as our synagogue community gathers for prayer, learning, and personal celebration.
Every Shabbat, services are held in the Sanctuary, where our rabbis and Hazzan lead us in a warm and engaging service of traditional prayer and davenen. Our Shabbat Morning Services include Torah study and the consideration of Jewish values and ideas for our lives and our world. We strive to provide a sacred place for personal prayer and reflection. Our weekly service is often enhanced by the participation of our synagogue choir. Each week our service embraces our members who come to celebrate individual and family milestones.
Shabbat Yahad Once each month on Shabbat morning, we celebrate Shabbat Yahad, a Shabbat together when we blend the generations and various Shabbat programs of our community into a large, dynamic, and whole Shabbat congregation.
Shabbat Babysitting Babysitting is available most Shabbat mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. for children ages one to five years. Babysitting is generally not available on secular and religious holiday weekends.
Family and Children’s Services Family Service Family Services on Shabbat mornings are a wonderful occasion for children in grades K through 4 to participate in a Shabbat service designed especially for them. This interactive and fun experience includes prayer and song, Torah reading and learning, activities and celebration. Parents, too, share in the joy as they participate in this Family Service along with their children.
Children’s Shabbat Activities and Adult Shabbat Moments follow most Family Services. Children choose to participate in Shabbat Activities like Gym, Drama, or Puppet Torah. Parents choose to join with our synagogue community for Shabbat Morning Services in the Sanctuary, attend a weekly “adult moment” for Shabbat learning or and informal prayer, or visit in the Shabbat café and reading area. Simhat Shabbat Students in grades five and six take active part in Simhat Shabbat services, held twice a month, in which students take an active role in the service and read from the Torah.
Torah for Tots, engages pre-school age children and their parents in a family friendly service enhanced by storytelling and interactive activities. Torah for Tots is open to families with children up to five years old.
