Young Families
The Young Families of Chizuk Amuno creates family friendly programming for families with children of elementary school age. Our programs are a great way to meet families from our community, share Shabbat and other holidays, and be welcomed into the greater Chizuk Amuno Congregation community.
Join us on Saturday, January 28 for a Young Families Shabbat. We will begin with breakfast at 9:15 a.m. followed by Family Service, lunch, and learning/activities. We will conclude by 2:00 p.m. $14 for adults, $7 for children 6-12, children under 5 are free, $40 maximum per family. RSVPs are required. YFC Events and Family Programs
Shabbat Programs
Join us as we share Shabbat together. There are special children’s activities, an exciting Friday evening service, and time for our parents to socialize together and learn with our clergy.
Throughout the year we also have Saturday lunches, Saturday evening havdalah programs and other experiences including a yearly retreat.
Holiday Programs
There are several holidays where YFC brings together young families to celebrate together as a community. Past holiday programs have included Sundaes in the Sukkah, second night Passover Seder, Tu B'Shevat Seder, and Israeli Café.
Social Programs
Throughout the year the Young Families of Chizuk get together for social programming as well. Join us as we have a game night, parent versus children football games, picnic, bonfires, karaoke nights and other events that give our families time to meet and schmooze both at Chizuk Amuno and throughout our community.
