Here at Chizuk Amuno, we are fortunate to have a vibrant community of families with younger children - the Young Families of Chizuk Amuno, or YF of CA. As a Young Families community, we come together regularly for Shabbat services and lunches, holiday programs, social events, and more!
Please join us for one of our upcoming programs - they're a great way to meet other families, share special times together, and be welcomed into the greater Chizuk Amuno family.
For more information about YF of CA programs and events, or to share a suggestion, please contact Rabbi Marci Jacobs Aronchick, Director of Teen and Family Engagement, at bWFyb25jaGlja0BjaGl6dWthbXVuby5vcmc= or 410-486-6400 x305. I'd love to hear from you!

Over the course of the year, we'll gather to celebrate these special times on the Jewish calendar with engaging, meaningful programs for the whole family! Here's what's happening this year:
Sukkot Sojourn - Thursday, October 9 - 10:30 AM
Join us as we commemorate the Israelites' journey through the wilderness just as they did, by dwelling in sukkot. Led by our ancestors from the Torah, we'll retrace our people's journey through the desert, searching for the 4 species that make up the Lulav and Etrog, and join with the congregation for Hoshanot, the special Sukkot parade we have each day of the holiday.
Rock n' Scroll - Friday, October 17 - 10:30 AM
Join us for a rocking celebration of Torah, including spirited tefillot and a chance to experience the whole Torah, from its very beginning to its last words. Bring your dancing shoes and prepare to be amazed by the story of our people!
Keep an eye out for information about future holiday programs for YF of CA!
In addition to our weekly services, we have a number of opportunities for families to come together in celebration of Shabbat - dinners, Havdalah events, and more!
Family Feud: Shabbat Style! - Saturday, November 15
As a part of our whole community's Shabbat Getway, with a full day of special activities, join us for a fun-filled post-Kiddush trivia tournament for parents and kids alike. There will be plenty of snacks, laughter, and Shabbat delight!
Community Havdalah - Saturday, December 6 - 6:00 PM
Take advantage of the early end of winter Shabbat and join us for a meaningful and fun family evening. We'll experience together the special moment of Havdalah, as we bid farewell to Shabbat, then enjoy a casual evening with dinner and board games. Think of it as a fun night at home with your family - in your synagogue home, with your Chizuk Amuno family!
