"Rabbi"ing Out Loud
My favorite blog of all time is not a blog. Actually it was a blog before there was such a thing as a blog, or even such a thing as the web. It is Anna Quindlen’s Living in the 30’s column that appeared in the New York Times in the 1980s and then was collected into a book called Living Out Loud (which if you haven’t read, you must!)
When I was first invited to blog several months ago it was Quindlen’s notion of what living out loud meant that spoke to me. I think this will be kind of a “Rabbi”ing Out Loud - namely the opportunity to be reflective about my rabbinate, my Judaism, my congregation.
So welcome, I’m so delighted that you’ve joined me for this journey. I’ll look forward to hearing from you about what you’d like to see here, including issues you’re curious about, questions you have, and comments about the panoply of Jewish life.

Thanks for the feedback Bob. I'll adress that after the High Holidays when I emerge from the deep water :)

I would be interested to hear, from time to time, what being a rabbi is like. There are so many demands being made of clergy, and such a range of emotional happy and sad events. (Not to mention the scrutiny clergy comes under from congregants). How do you keep your head above water?
