Are you heading into 8th Grade after RRS or 9th Grade after KSDS? Then Netivon is designed for you. Academic in nature, the Netivon curriculum centers around five pillars: Hebrew language and culture, Bible, rabbinics, history/culture/identity, and theology/practice. Students take both core classes and electives designed to provice a comprehensive Jewish Education. Netivon is taught by top educators and clergy from the entire Baltimore area. Our diverse faculty is able to offer engaging and exciting courses to our students.  

Netivon meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Netivon year is divided into a Fall semester, Mini-mester in January, and Spring semester.

Examples of core classes include Hebrew Ulpan, NETA Hebrew, Jewish leadership practicum, senior seminar with Rabbi Shulman, and “…And they lived happily ever after….NOT!” (a study of the second half of Genesis). Examples of electives include History of Jewish Art: Murals, expressionists and beyond…oh my!, Stepping Up for Israel (an Israeli advocacy curriculum by JerusalemonlineU.com), Who Knew He’d Be Such a Hit? Jesus and the roots of Christianity, Jewish Environmental Ethics, and Murder in the Text. For complete course offerings for the current semester please feel free to contact us.
