At Goldsmith Early Childhood Education Center we understand how children think and grow. The integration of Judaic studies into our curriculum makes us truly unique. Our children develop a strong Jewish identity and values through a natural immersion in the Jewish learning environment. In our four-year-old program, children have the option to enroll in a unique Hebrew Immersion class, where one half of each class is conducted entirely in Hebrew.
We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning, supporting a child-driven curriculum. The teachers at Goldsmith Early Childhood Education Center seek out the children’s ideas, allow them to express themselves, and respond to the individual needs of each child. The children are involved in learning experiences that follow their interests, and give them chances to explore, think creatively, and discover the world.
Parent involvement is a critical component of our program. Our teachers, parents and children are partners in learning. We encourage participation in a variety of ways. The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) provides opportunities for parents to be part of their child’s Jewish educational experience; events are held throughout the year to engage and educate families.
