Ways to Give

A variety of strategies are available to enable you to make a gift, meet your personal financial needs, and fulfill your philanthropic goals. We invite you to contact the Development Office should you wish to discuss a gift to the congregation or our schools, or for information on the giving opportunities listed below.

Annual Campaign

Annual Appeal dollars provide essential resources that enable the congregation and schools to operate effectively and flourish. Dues and tuition do not cover the full costs of serving our membership and school families. These contributions fund about 6% of the operating costs of our total budget each year.

At the heart of our budget, the Annual Campaign supports congregational life and Jewish education for all ages. Providing funds to cover about 6% of the operating costs of our total budget each year, the Annual Campaign bridges the gap between dues and the full cost of synagogue membership. Chizuk Amuno relies on the Annual Campaign to cover the difference. The Annual Campaign relies on you.

Designated Commitments

Designated gifts ($1,000 and above) encompass contributions for capital improvements, additions to our endowment funds, special purposes identified by our leadership, and support for ongoing programs and the creation of new programs or projects that fulfill our mission and vision.

Chizuk Amuno Foundation

The Chizuk Amuno Foundation, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that oversees the management of restricted and unrestricted endowment funds to support all aspects of congregational and school life including tuition assistance, capital maintenance, and social service and educational programs.

The income from our endowment funds provides between six and seven percent of the total operating budget for our synagogue and schools. Named funds range from $5,000 to over $3,000,000.

Visit the Chizuk Amuno Foundation page for a complete description of our history and purpose as well as various ways to give.

Charitable Gift Planning

In addition to outright gifts, Charitable Gift Planning is an effective way to provide for the future of Chizuk Amuno Congregation and our schools. A variety of opportunities are available to enable donors to fulfill philanthropic goals, while making efficient use of their financial resources. Our bequest society, Bonei Amuno, recognizes those who have signed a Letter of Intent representing a moral commitment to include the congregation in their estate planning.
